First of May

First of May

When I was small, and christmas trees were tall,
We used to love while others used to play.
Don't ask me why, but time has passed us by,
Some one else moved in from far away.

Now we are tall, and christmas trees are small,
And you don't ask the time of day.
But you and I, our love will never die,
But guess who'll cry come first of may.

The apple tree that grew for you and me,
I watched the apples falling one by one.
And I recall the moment of them all,
The day I kissed your cheek and you were gone.

Ceci Cela Patisserie

Ceci Cela Patisserie is a french baker located in Soho of NYC.  It has all different kind of french pastries and dessert.  Everything I try from here so far is delicious.  My favorite is the chocolate croissant!
The pastries and cakes are made by the talent chef Laurent Dupal.  They offer authentic patisseries rivaling anything from Paris.  Chef Dupal's insistence upon the best ingredients in the highest artisan quality pastry possible and that what makes this place famous.

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening~

One of my favorite poem~

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
by Robert Frost

Whose woods these are I think I know;
His house is in the village, though.
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

La Lanterna di Vittorio~

La Lanterna di Vittorio is an Italian restaurant located in Manhattan.  I was told that their tiramisu is really good  so we went there to give it a try.  Besides the tiramisu we also order few dish from the menu.  Unfortunately, none of them are good.  The soup is too bland, the pizza is too salty, and the sandwich is too hard.  So far only the tiramisu is good at this place.  Another thing I don't like about this restaurant is that it's way too dark to the point I was unable to read anything on the menu....

Nan Shian Dumpling House

Nan Shian Dumpling House is famous for their xiao long bao.  This place always crowded.  You usually have to wait about 30 minutes for your dumplings because they're made fresh.  I heard lots of people complaint about the service here, but I've been here many times and the service seems to be ok.  Not sure because I speak English to them maybe that's why the service is better?  No idea!
Beside the shanghainese dumpling their beef noodle soup is pretty good as well.  I don't eat the noodle soup here much as there are too much oil in them.

Herve Leger~

There are two dresses that I like the most from their fall collection.  The first dress is strapless with gray and black tone.  I love the color contrast...very young and modern looking.

Balthazar Restaurant

Balthazar Restaurant @ Soho in NYC
Restaurant website: http://www.balthazarny.com/

It's the french restaurant the you either have to wait for 1 hour or make reservation a head of time.  I have been here twice and the experiences for both occasions are opposite.  The first time our server is polite and nice, but the second time the server is impatient.  His name is Oscar.  I would never want to have him to be our waiter because it ruin our brunch on that day.

Yuki no Hana (雪の華)

Snow Flower - Yuki no Hana (雪の華)

As the shadows grow side by side on the pavement,
I walk with you in the twilight.
If we could just hold hands...
...and be close forever, I'd cry out of happiness.
The wind has cooled down.
I smell the scent of winter.
In this town, it's almost the season...
...when I can snuggle up with you.

This year, with the first petals of snow,
two of us nestle together.
Just taking in these moments...
...makes me overflow with joy.
I don't fawn over you out of weakness,
Rather, I just love you that much.
That's how I feel from the bottom of my heart.

When you're with me,
I feel like I can surpass anything.
I pray that these days...
...will continue forever.
The wind shakes the window...
...and wakes up the night.
No matter how sad you are...
I will make you smile again.
The falling snow petals...
outside the window...
...have no intentions of ceasing.
They're dying our town white.

I have learned that...
...when you want to act for someone else,
that's true love.
If I were ever to lose you,
I'd become a star and shine upon you.
Even on the nights when the tears drown on your smile,
I'll be right there, by your side!

This year, with the first petals of snow,
two of us nestle together.
Just taking in these moments...
...makes me overflow with joy.
It's just that I long...
...to be with you, like this, for all time.
These words come from the heart.
The white snow petals...
...that fall and pile up on this town...
...softly paint memories inside out hearts.
Now, we'll never have to be apart.

London Lennie's~

London Lennie's is a restaurant specialized in lobster.  I think they only have 1 location here in NYC at Rego Park.  I usually don't like steam lobster as they're not that sweet, but this restaurant prove I'm wrong.  It's one of the best lobster I ever had.  The lobster is just perfect.  The meat is sweet and chewy as what the lobster suppose to be.  On top of that the service at this restaurant is excellent.  I've been here 3 times and all 3 times their service from 3 different servers are excellent.  This has to be my favorite place for lobster for now.

Synesthesia

Synesthesia is something I have not heard of until I saw a movie recently from japan.
Synesthesia is a perceptual condition of mixed sensations: a stimulus in one sensory modality (e.g., hearing) involuntarily elicits a sensation/experience in another modality (e.g. vision). Likewise, perception of a form (e.g., a letter) may induce an unusual perception in the same modality (e.g. a color).
A person experience synesthesia most of the time is unaware that they have it.
